John Cena Injured? Taking Time Off?

The Extreme Rules 2012 Match between John Cena and Brock Lesner was definitely one sided, with Cena getting busted open at the early going and Brock dominating most of the match.

Brock then went on to severely attack Cena's shoulder with a chain having to be introduced before Cena could mount any form of offence against his opponent. It was sadly one of the most one sided matches I have ever seen in the WWE and one that in no way could be called a wrestling match.

The outcome left Cena taking to the mic suggesting that he may be taking some time off. We later came to know that Cena will be appearing on RAW tonight where we should know more on the situation.
Making medical rounds now to find out what is up. I will be on #RAW to let everyone know. #nevergiveup

WWE.com had the following to say regarding Cena's injury
"The most obvious injury was the laceration to his head, which caused a substantial amount of bleeding," said WWE locker room physician Dr. Chris Amann. "He also has suffered a shoulder injury. Initial testing in the training room leads me to believe there may be torn muscles, possibly a torn rotator cuff or a biceps muscle."
Was John Cena really injured? Or is it just an easy way to give him some time off Professional Wrestling style. We know he has been working non stop for nearly two years, and if anything deserves to take some time off to heal and spend time with his family.

I still don't understand why the match ended as it did... You cant take away anything from Brock for loosing the match. It took a steal chain to the head and an AA to the steal steps to put him away. He even had Cena down for the three count before while the referee lay knocked out of the ring. Will we see Brock go on to dominate the WWE in the coming months and maybe take back one of the titles ?

Will it be a returning Rock who keeps his promise to compete against Brock for the title? Or will we see John Cena come back and beat Brock for a legitimate title victory?

All we can do now is wait and see how this pans out... Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
